Why can’t a homeowner or realtor stage a home?
Homeowner’s can definitely be involved with the staging, but the stager brings expertise and objectivity to the project. Most homeowners cannot see the flaws and cannot view the home with buyer’s eyes. They are emotionally attached to the dated furnishings, poor lighting, accumulated accessories and overgrown yards. They are overwhelmed and don’t know where or how to start. A stager’s job is to decrease the stress level and enlighten the homeowner with their professional services.
A realtor will spend an average of 85 hours marketing and showing your home. This is their expertise and they cannot spend the time to commit to properly and professionally stage your home. It is in the realtor’s best interest to find a stager to work their magic for the common goal of getting the house sold!!
What is the buyer’s perspective when viewing a home?
